Head Coach Travis Herb is in his 21st year of coaching varsity volleyball. He has been playing volleyball since 1983 and began his coaching career in 1993 at Computech Middle School and Edison High, also his Alma mater. He continued at Taft High near Bakersfield for a year until landing at Central High. As varsity coach he was named TRAC Boys coach of the year in 2002 and still holds the record for most wins in a season at Central High.
In 2005 he returned to coaching girls volleyball at Clovis West and was a part of four Valley championship volleyball teams. He has previously founded three club volleyball programs and coached a variety of club teams at many levels. In 2019 he was named TRAC Girls coach of the Year, when his team won a school record 40 Games and finished in the CA top 20.
A native of Fresno, and a graduate of Fresno State, Coach Herb teaches Photography, Broadcasting and Videography at Clovis North. He has been married to his wife Lori, who teaches English at Clovis High, for 20 years, and has two kids, Jonel (18) and Trenton (16) who attend CUSD schools, and are also Broncos.
Varsity Assistant: Richard Salvidar
Richard Saldivar enters his 1st season for the Clovis North varsity girls volleyball team. He also serves as the lead Assistant coach For the Fresno City College women's beach volleyball team.
While with the Fresno City Rams indoor program he served as the libero/defensive specialist coach with emphasis of the team defense and passing as well. In 6 seasons with the rams He helped the team earn two CCCAA State championships (2016 first in school history), Four top four finishes and six undefeated conference titles.
Richard was a standout libero at Bullard High School. He has coaching experience at not only the collegiate level but both the middle school and high school levels winning league championships at Bullard High Boys volleyball, Kastner Intermediate, and Granite Ridge Intermediate.
Richard is a year round club coach with Valley Volleyball Academy and Co leads Elite beach volleyball club of Clovis. With 9 years of coaching club and school both girls and boys combined he has coached 32 indoor seasons and 10 beach seasons.
